Hi, I’m Lauren
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Central Washington University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University. I’m deeply passionate about helping people feel understood, supported, and empowered in their lives.
My work is informed not only by clinical training, but also by lived experience. I have navigated generalized anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and obsessive-compulsive disorder—experiences that have shaped my empathy and strengthened my commitment to this work. These diagnoses do not define limitations; they reflect the many ways our minds respond to the world around us.
I have experience supporting individuals with a range of concerns, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, OCD, borderline personality disorder, autism spectrum disorder, and schizophrenia. I approach therapy through a person-centered lens, drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and psychoeducation to meet each client’s unique needs.
At Nourish Counseling, I believe growth begins with safety, curiosity, and compassion. Like a seed that must crack before it can grow, meaningful change takes time and care. My goal is to walk alongside you as you build insight, resilience, and a life that feels more aligned and fulfilling. Let’s flourish together.
