Couple’s Therapy
I integrate Mentalization-Based Therapy into my work with couples to help partners better understand themselves and one another. Mentalization invites us to become curious about the thoughts, feelings, and experiences that shape our reactions, recognizing that each person brings their own perspective and understanding into a relationship.
In our work together, we explore how assumptions, misunderstandings, and emotional responses can influence the way couples communicate. Rather than reacting quickly or becoming caught in cycles of conflict, partners learn to slow down, approach conversations with curiosity, and consider what might be happening beneath the surface for themselves and each other.
My goal is to help couples develop more open-minded, compassionate, and effective ways of communicating. By making room for different perspectives and approaching one another with greater empathy, couples can navigate difficult conversations more smoothly, strengthen their emotional connection, and build a deeper sense of mutual understanding.
